Tear trough filler
Careful, conservative treatment of hollowing beneath the eyes, addressing a tired appearance without changing the shape of the face.
The under-eye area is delicate, and not every dark circle or hollow is suitable for filler. Pigmentation, puffiness and skin laxity can all look similar to hollowing but need a different approach, or none at all.
We assess this area carefully and will tell you plainly if filler isn’t the right answer for you.
Suitability
Suitable for under-eye hollowing that contributes to a tired look. This is a more delicate area and is assessed carefully.
What to expect
A more rested appearance under the eyes. Results typically last around 9–12 months, depending on the product used.
Downtime
Mild swelling or bruising is possible for a few days. This area can bruise more easily than others.
Aftercare and safety
Every filler appointment includes written aftercare and a direct number to call if you have any concerns. If filler placed at AMEND ever needs correcting for clinical reasons, there is no charge for that care.
Related
Treatment is subject to consultation and clinical suitability. Results vary between individuals and no treatment can guarantee a particular result.
Tear trough filler: your questions answered
If your question isn’t here, bring it to your consultation, or call or WhatsApp 07522 633970.
Is tear trough filler right for my dark circles?
Not always. Dark circles can be caused by pigmentation, visible blood vessels, puffiness or loose skin as well as hollowing, and filler only helps with hollowing. We will tell you plainly if filler is not the right answer for you.
Is tear trough filler safe?
The under-eye area is delicate and has a higher risk profile than many other areas, including rare but serious complications. That is why careful assessment, conservative technique and a clinician trained to recognise and manage complications matter so much here.
How long does tear trough filler last?
Around 9–12 months, depending on the product used. Results can sometimes last longer in this area.
Will I bruise after tear trough filler?
Bruising is more common under the eyes than elsewhere, and mild swelling is possible for a few days. It is sensible to avoid booking treatment just before an important event.
Can tear trough filler be reversed?
Hyaluronic acid filler can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase, a prescription medicine that requires an assessment by a prescriber. If filler placed at AMEND ever needs correcting for clinical reasons, there is no charge for that care.
